The Chiampi's are HERE!!

One of my best friends, Kaycie, and her family moved to the desert last week! Our mom's have known each other since middle school so we've known each other since birth... only we've always lived far away from each other with her being in Orange County and myself being in the desert. Tyler and I spent a lot of time over at their new house last week helping unpack, get organized, help with the boys, etc, etc and it wasn't the easiest being that we had 5 children over there between Tyler and her 4 (Brooke, McKenna, Connor and Cole). The girls love Tyler and bombard him with hugs the second we walk in the door. It's too cute! I've been showing Kaycie around the desert a bit and bringing her along to a few things I'm involved with every week :) It's been fun and I'm looking forward to see what the desert has in store for them!! Here are a few pictures from the week and a park day with the kids.

* The kids playing in a tent they unpacked *

* There are a ton of things that spin at this park - Ty loves it! *

Welcome to the desert Chiampi's!! So glad you're here!

Seaworld Celebration!

The weekend of Valentine's (Sun-Mon) we went to San Diego with the Brown's (without Tyler, thanks to the Malestic's for watching him) to celebrate Araceli's birthday, Chad's birthday and Valentine's. Nice way to cram it all in, right? It was supposed to be pouring on Sunday but we figured we'd just get ponchos and make the best of it. Well... it didn't end up raining!! It was just cold and overcast but soooo do-able :) We had a fun time walking around although it made me miss my baby the entire time seeing a million other little kids there having so much fun! I think he would love everything there at this age so we're definitely going back soon! Anyways... we stayed at a hotel in downtown San Diego and found a fun dueling piano bar that we went to for dinner and ended up staying there for 4 1/2 hours! Good and cheap entertainment! My face hurt from laughing the entire time. These guys that play the piano are insanely good - it's crazy! It did rain on Monday but we just did a few things around San Diego and headed home. It was a nice weekend to ourselves and a great time with friends!

* Seaworld has pretty flowers named after me :) *

* Justin's sunglasses dropped in the Sea Lion tank thing... whoops!! The girl tried to get them out for like 2 minutes and then just gave up and walked away... bummer JBiz! *

* The Boys *
* The Girls *
* The Brown's *
* The Priest's *
* One of the piansts was played Michael Jackson and asked if anyone had any moves... uh ohhh.... that's when my heart starts pounding! So yeah... Chad practically ninja jumps out of his chair to go and dance in front of everyone!!! He was a hit! *
* Thanks for a great weekend guys! *

Horses Horses Horses

That's what Lauren, Chad's little sister, lives, breathes and eats (well not eats...) and she's doing amazing with the sport!! She has come so far and improved soooo much over the last year! We were supposed to go to a show in Murrieta a few weeks ago but it was canceled due to the rain and storms we had in southern California. I was happy to find out the following weekend she was going to have a local show here so Tyler and I packed up and went to watch it for a few hours. She did very well... I don't even know the different placings she got but I know there were some 1sts, 2nds, champion and reserve champion. Way to go Lauren!! Here are a few pictures from the day. It was also beautiful to see the snow covered mountains in the background of the desert.

Jabbering

Tyler has started gibber gabbering ALL day!!! The funniest noises and sounds come out of this kid all day like he is carrying on conversations in his own little baby language. He's still only saying Dad, Dada, Daddy, Doggie and on occasion we can get a momma out of him (usually when he's fussy/crying... nice huh? Anyways... I took this video of him trying to get his baby talk on camera but as soon as I start recording he stops... We got a little bit of it on here but please excuse the messy house and half naked baby with 1 sock on... this was just in between after dinner cleanup chaos and bath/bedtime :) Enjoy!

Fun at the park!

Tyler and I went to the park a couple of weeks ago with just the 2 of us to get out of the house. I love how this park at a BIG kid playground and a little kid playground. I don't have to worry about him trying to climb and play on the big one where he can get hurt...

* He loves anything that spins!! *

* and the swings! *
* Whoa... this one is a little too big for you bud *
* This is more like it! *
* p.r.e.c.i.o.u.s. *
* enjoy the video *

Mmmm Potroast!

I love using my crockpot but don't use it often enough. It just makes dinnertime soooo easy to throw everything in in the morning and dish it out all ready to go at dinnertime! This was Tyler's first potroast experience and he LOVED it! He had food in both fists, devouring every bite, so I couldn't resist taking pictures. I'll definitely be doing that meal again soon!

Chad's 26th!

Wow... Chad is 26!! Where do the years go?!?! Weird to think we started dating when he was 18! Anyways... we didn't do too much. Chad golfed with a few friends that day and then we met a group of friends at Outback for dinner!! It was soooo yummy!! Happy 26th Birthday Love!! And many more to come!!

Valentine's Pictures...

Wow... I'm a bit behind on blogging... I'll try and get it caught up during naptime right now... we'll see how it goes :)

So I had every intention to send out cute Valentine's cards like I did last year... I dressed Ty in a cute, red shirt, went outside and took the pictures but yeah.. never got around to actually making, printing and sending out the cards. Oh well!! I thought the pictures were still worthy of posting. Maybe I'll get around to it with the same idea I had next year...

My baby boy...

... looks so grown up! I found this shirt at Target on clearance the other day for $5 and absolutely love it! We put it on him this morning for church and he looks like such a big boy! I can't believe it... We played out back for a bit when we got home and he had so much fun. This boy would be outside 24/7 if I let him, seriously...

* always on the go... always! *

* and playing with the dog bowls *
* and the dogs! *

Sports Guy Already?

So Tyler already has an obsession with sports balls of any kind. Whenever he sees a ball he goes after it and will carry it around forever. Well I was at Target last week and found a set of 4 balls (basketball, baseball, football and soccer ball) that are just his size. He hasn't put them down since. There's always one in some part of the house or another so he's always carrying one with him. It's so cute!
