Mmmm otter pops on a hot summer day!!! Brings back childhood memories!! A couple of weeks ago Tyler and I spent an hour outside playing with the hose, eating otterpops and burning some energy!! We are both soooo ready for it to cool and be able to spend our days outside as Ty loves to do!! Anyways... here are a few pictures from the morning. He was such a happy boy finally being able to be outside!! If only I were in the mood to sit in the heat everyday...

Women of Faith & a Long Weekend...
I look forward to the Women of Faith Conference all year, literally. This year was no different and I had been counting down the days for a couple of months. The weekend though started off a little harder than expected on Friday morning when we had to make the decision to put Hershey down. She's been pretty sick and has been having major health problems all summer and it was the time. We've put a ton of money into different tests and medications the last couple of months but nothing was going to permanently get better without some MAJOR operations and changes with her, of which there is just no way we could do it... So Chad and Tyler took her to Lynne's horse vet on Friday morning while I was at work and had it done... RIP Hersh... Only 4 1/2 years old. I despise dog breeders that just breed and inbreed and breed and inbreed dogs just for the money. Poor thing...
Anyways... while they were going to do that, the 3 of them were in Chad's truck and Hershey has been shedding INSANELY and did while they were driving to the vet. Chad noticed after they got home that his allergies started acting up...hmm... well I leave for WOF at 1:00 and Tyler is perfectly fine. By dinnertime over at the Malestic's that night, however, Ty was starting to have a hard time breathing (we're pretty sure that his allergies flared up and turned into asthma) and Chad and Lynne kept a close eye on him monitoring how he was doing. They did an albuterol treatment which seemed to help and kick in a little... He was having a hard time again in the middle of the night and the treatment at home didn't help this time so Chad, Lynne and Tyler headed to the emergency room at 2am. After a treatment there, a steroid shot and a prescription of Prednisolone, they finally left the hospital at 7:45 - thank you Lynne for helping out all night and being there with them! All the while I'm having a good time enjoying my rejuvenating, spirit filled weekend having no idea what Chad's been through all night!! He didn't want to call and wake me up and have me worry all night so I found out on Saturday morning when I called just to say good morning to my boys... Poor Chad was EXHAUSTED by the time I got home early Saturday evening and went straight to bed. Tyler's doing better now... it was just a long weekend for everybody... For what I would get out of it with my mind being on things at home, Women of Faith was great this year as always and Steven Curtis Chapman was awesome! My friend Danielle came up with me and we stayed with Araceli & Brockster, her momma and granny Mo in a HUGE (and I'm not exaggerating!) timeshare rental at Worldmark. I could live there, seriously! We had a great time, great fellowship, lots of chit-chatting and enjoyed all of the amazing speakers and worship for 2 days. It always goes by so fast and I'm looking forward to next year and praying that everything is fine back at home while I'm away. Thank you to my amazing husband for staying home and taking care of everything and all of the chaos while I was gone. I love you more than you'll ever know!
* Still waiting on a couple of pictures from the weekend so I'll post them when I get them *
