Bathtub in the Kitchen??

Tyler took a bath in the kitchen sink on Saturday morning and had so much fun! We've tried this twice before a while back but he didn't have his sitting mastered yet so he wasn't able to have as much fun - too much concentration on sitting up I guess. Anyways... I put him in the sink after his very messy breakfast and here are some pictures - Enjoy! I sure am!!

April Randomness

I've really been slacking on keeping this updated regularly... I'm trying to get better but I'm not allowing myself to get on the internet and browse and do whatever for hours on end until I do stuff around the house... so at least something is getting done in my life : )

Plumping Up

So I've still been taking Tyler's picture every month in the same 12 month onesie to put in perspective how much he really is GROWING! I talked about it in a previous post here. Just wanted to show a little update - I don't know how much longer this thing is going to fit...we'll see. By the looks of it... I don't think he's going to make it to the 12 month mark.

Morning Playtime

Tyler and I played for a while this morning in his room. It's getting to be so much fun with him being interactive with his toys. The dogs now believe that every time I'm playing with Tyler I should be playing with them so they like to join in on the fun. Tyler's also becoming much more interactive with them too. He reached over and grabbed onto Bailey, not letting go and then pulled a big chunk of hair out (which stayed in his fist by the way - grose). It's so good to know that she'll let him do anything to her and doesn't care.

I know it's something I'm not going to be able to avoid so I just need to get used to it!

He's also getting so close to crawling - I think so anyways... He gets up in a crawling position but then just belly flops ont his tummy to try and reach for whatever he's going for. It's pretty cute. I'm enjoying these days when he can't go too far on his own...

6 Month Stats

We had Tyler's 6 month appointment this afternoon. Chad was able to come with this time and it was nice to have him there seeing how Tyler was very upset and fussy the entire time. He got woken up from his nap to go and then was hungry but I held off on feeding him so he'd be hungry and I could comfort him after his shots. Everything looks good though and he's a very healthy and happy boy!

6 MONTHS!!

Wow how time flies!! Tyler turned 6 months on April 4th. I don't even know where the last 6 months have gone and before I know it he'll be crawling (very soon to come!), then walking and talking, then starting school... Okay... I'm getting ahead of myself. Anyways... like I said below, I had Tyler's 6 month pictures done while we were in Idaho. It was a COMPLETELY different experience from his last photo shoot when he was just 10 days old. Here they are!

Lots to Update!!

It's been awhile since I've had the chance to sit down and blog. We've been pretty busy the past couple of weeks. Tyler's 1st tooth broke through on April Fools (nice for mom and dad, right?). It's starting to be pretty noticable and look super cute. I'll post a picture as soon as I get a good one where you can see it.

Tyler and I went to Idaho to visit Sabrina and her family for a few days last week. It was Tyler's first plane ride and he did great. A lot of stressing on my part for nothing. It was a non-stop, 2 hour flight - He slept about 1/2 the time going there and almost the entire time coming home. It was awesome! There were also a few other babies on our flight home which was a little reassuring that my baby wouldn't be the only crying one if he were upset. We had a great time hanging out, shopping and talking and doing puzzles until 3 in the morning - nothing new for our visits though ; ) Hailey, Brie's 2 year old, LOVES Tyler. It was so cute to watch her play with him and try and tend to his every need, LOL. We also had Ty's 6 month pictures taken while we were up there at a place called Portrait Innovations. I LOVE the way they turned out. They don't have any locations in California yet but I'm hoping they will eventually. The pictures turned out great and the prices are soooo good!! We need a place like that out here in the desert. I'll post those pictures later today.


Fruits & Veggies - We've now moved onto fruits and veggies. So far we've done Bananas, Sweet Potatoes and Carrotts. Sweet Potatoes have been the biggest hit so far. Mmmmmm

Tyler's also officially sitting up on his own - well about 99% of the time. He played in his room like this for about 10 minutes without tumbling over so that's the best so far. He looks like such a big boy playing with his toys like this. It's so cute!!


So as you can see things have been pretty busy around here!! He keeps me busy but I absolutely love it!! It has been so much fun watching all of these changes and new things happening!! It's all going by so fast!

Well we're off to Ty's 6 month appointment right now. I'll post the stats later.

SLEEP!!

I have quite a few other posts to catch up on but just wanted to get this one out real quick...

Tyler slept through the night last night!!! I'm still in shock! He went down a little later than normal last night but still...I woke up at 5:30 this morning in a panic and ran into his room to check on him and he was snoozin' away - woohoo!!! He woke up in a happy mood at 7:30 but still didn't start fussin' to eat for about an hour! This is HUGE!! I feel soooo rested today. Between being pregnant and getting up to pee a million times a night and having a baby the past 6 months, I haven't gotten a full un-interrupted night of sleep in probably close to a year.
I'm not getting my hopes up though...we'll see how tonight goes. And the night after that...
I'm just very thankful to have gotten that one night!! If you can't already tell...YEAH!!!

April Already!

I can't believe it's already April! I don't know where the time has gone! It's a busy month with a lot of exciting things going on so I just thought I'd post a few (thanks for the idea Brie):
APRIL!
1 - April Fool's (we've already fooled a few today, lol!) Fun stuff!! Bobby's birthday
2 - Mom2Mom starts back up!! SOOO excited! Although due to a flood in some of the children's rooms at church, we're just going to LQ Park for a playdate instead tomorrow : (
4 - Tyler is 6 months
9-12 Tyler and I are going to visit the Bollenberg's in Idaho - Tyler's first plane trip - Please pray for safe travels and that this goes well for us. I'm a little nervous but I know everything will be fine.
11 - Malestic's Anniversary and mine and Chad's "dating anniversary" 6 years - I love you babe!
