Christmas has come and gone and I can't believe it's already over! It was a great season with Tyler's First Christmas and one that will be remembered forever. I felt like I had to take pictures of EVERYTHING so I didn't miss a moment and forget what his first Christmas was like.
On Saturday, the 22nd, we had our annual Christmas party at the Priest house. We had our close friends over and had a great time celebrating the season. We played catch phrase and talked our friend Gabe into going to get his bagpipes (he lives just down the street) and play for all of us. Chad decided to put on Gabe's kilt (surprised? haha) and dance for us. He played Amazing Grace - AMAZING!! - which gave everyone teary eyes but then followed it up with Jingle Bells to lighten the mood. It was 11:00 - our surrounding neighbors have got to love us now, right?
We went to the Living Desert's Wild Lights on Sunday with Gabe and Jessica and her family and had so much fun. We're going to make it a tradition with Tyler and hopefully in the years to come he won't sleep the whole time, lol. He was VERY warm and snuggled in my mody wrap, which I absolutely LOVE! We walked around looking at the lights, drinking hot cocoa and making smores.
Christmas Eve we went over to my grandma's house for dinner, then to church, then home to finish up wrapping. Yes...I procrastinated : ) We tested out the self timer on our camera to take a family picture of us in our Christmas Eve PJ's...
Christmas Day was another busy day but it turned out great. We went over to my in-laws to open gifts then went to Chad's aunt and uncles house for Christmas brunch. It was seriously the best breakfast ever! We then came home to get our house ready for Christmas dinner. We had both of our families over (20 people) and everything turned out so good! The dinner was amazing, thanks to my dad, who did the majority of the cooking.
I anticipate next Christmas being soooo much fun when Tyler will be able to understand it a little more and open his presents. I can't wait!!
