Chadly

First off, I just want to say that I have the best husband and father of my child that I could've ever dreamed. He made my first Mother's Day so special and one that I'll never forget. I woke up to my favorite Starbucks drink, a soy chai tea, and a back rub. Then went out to the kitchen to find beautiful flowers, a framed picture of Tyler and a gift certificate to a have a massage. We went to church, then to Aunt Laurie's house for brunch, then back home to relax. The list goes on for the rest of the day of little helpful things that were done for me. I feel so blessed to be a mom and celebrate all that goes along with it! Now I'm trying to think of ideas to top my day with Father's Day next month... Hhhmmmm...

Then I come home from work yesterday to find a set of golf clubs with a note saying "Happy Wonderful Wife Day." We've been looking for ladies lefties for a while and found (well neighbor Gabe found) a good used set of cute blue Wilson's on craigslist. I'm excited to not have to rent them when we go now!!

Thank you Chad for all you do and for the wonderful husband and father you are!!

On to today...
I think Tyler must be going through a growth spurt...
He scooted on to the tile and just stared out towards the slider in the kitchen. About five minutes later he looked like this...

And his second nap of the day started just about the same... he was playing with toys and I come in to find this...

Chad and I ate dinner out on the patio tonight. We've had our patio set for 3 years now and have hardly ever sat out there with just the two of us to eat dinner. It wasn't too windy and Tyler enjoyed having his dinner out there too in his high chair. After dinner I asked Chad to watch Tyler and play with him outside while I cleaned up the kitchen and got the sink ready for his bath. I came out to find this 10 minutes later...

And to top off the day... Chad and I just finished playing Scrabble. The game took FOREVER between being interrupted to get Tyler to bed and whatnot... The terms of the game were that the winner gets a back, arms and hand rub. Woohoo!!! Well too bad I lost by 1 point!! 1 POINT!! You have got to be kidding!! Okay... I've gotta go and give him a back rub now - I'll talk to ya'll soon!!

WOW! Those are the things that Daddies are good for! Mommies don't do silly things like that-good for you, Chad!
