Christmas 2009

Let's see if I can even remember the details of Christmas...

Chad got home from Canada on December 22nd and it was sooooo nice to have him home!!! We missed him being gone so much through the holidays and it definitely felt more like Christmas with him HOME!!

CHRISTmas Eve
My sister and Cris were in town for the holiday and stayed with us. We spent the day as a family at home and then went over to my grandma's for Christmas Eve dinner. We had yummy enchiladas, opened up our Christmas Eve gift and then headed to church for the Christmas service. It was beautiful, worship was great and it was soooo cute seeing some of our Flight School kids (where Chad and I serve on the weekends) singing in the children's choir portion of the service. We headed home, got ready for bed, put Ty down and then wrapped and wrapped the last of the gifts for Christmas morning.

CHRISTmas Day
We woke up and anxiously waited for Ty to wake up - of course he chooses Christmas morning to sleep in!! LOL!! This was the first year he was excited about everything and opening up his presents so it made it a ton of fun!! His big Santa present this year was a bike!! It's actually been hanging in our garage for 2 years now after it was given to us (brand new) by someone who Chad helped move a couple of years ago. Worked out perfect for Christmas this year and Ty loves it. It's still a little big but another couple months and it'll be perfect. Tyler also got a tool set from dad, which he's in LOVE with to say the least, a few other things from mom and dad and a his Leapster from me-ma and pe-pa was a hit. He's obsessed with anything electronic so we thought this would be a good alternative to an iPod, although I'm not sure about that... After gifts, we got ready and headed over to Aunt Laurie's house for an amazing Uncle Dave brunch - it was to die for! Then we headed back home to get ready for Christmas dinner at our house - thank you to Cris and Katie for helping my slow, spaced, preggo-brain'ness get that meal together!! We would've been eating around midnight if it weren't for you two! Dinner was great! Everyone enjoyed some time sitting around the firepit and spending time together.

It was a great Christmas. It flew by (the entire season that is) and it was definitely a thought in the back of my head all day knowing that this was going to be our last Christmas as a family of 3. So excited for the many more to come as they get more and more fun each year with our boys!
