Easter 2008

Easter Sunday was a great day. We went to church, then over to Lynne and Larry's for some pool time and BBQ, then over to my grandma's house for dinner. Chad and my brother, Michael, also had the chance to play a round of golf which was nice for them. They had a great time! It was a nice, relaxing family day and a wonderful day to worship Him.

Today's Photo Shoot

Okay well I think I'm caught up now - woohoo!! Just wanted to post these that I took today. Tyler is looking less and less like a baby everyday. I can't believe how boyish he looks in these pictures/video. He's getting so big!!

BUNCO!

I played Bunco for the first time at a Moms Nite Out thing through my moms group at church last month. A couple of us girls decided to start a monthly bunco group ourselves and we had the first one at our house this week. It was so much fun and halarious watching the guys get into it too! Instead of prizes (too hard to buy for mixed genders) we decided to do cash $$$ prizes (always nice) for the winners. I won $20 for the "most minis" and Chad won $5 for the "losers" drawing, haha! Hey, anything is good, right?! I can't wait for next month!!

I've been VERY picture happy this week!

When I just uploaded pictures to my computer I realized that I have been VERY picture happy/ crazy/whatever you want to call it, this week! There were 328 pictures to upload over the last 8 days. Yes, 328. Most of them though can be deleted because I take 20 pictures of Tyler at one time to get the one good picture so yeah...
Anyways... just thought I'd post some of what I took and share them with you!
These first few are from dinner at the Malestic's a few nights ago. Tyler was in the best mood and just layed around playing with his feet and letting me take pictures of him forever. He sure loves his Auntie Lauren!

Precious Moments

This has got to be one of the most precious moments I've had with Tyler. Chad woke up with Tyler early on Tuesday morning. When he left for work he brought Tyler into bed with me to nurse so I could wake up slowly over the next 10 minutes or so - I was super tired.
This is what I woke up 1-1/2 hours later to find:
This was just too cute! All cuddled with his blankie (yes, the one that mom made him, lol). He continued sleeping for the next 20 or so minutes that I was getting up and around and then this is what I came in to find:
He's starting to be so happy and content while waking up and I love it!

Happy St. Patty's Day!!

I know it's little late but I figure better late than never...
Tyler celebrated his first St. Patrick's Day on Monday. I had to work so he was with Me-ma (Lynne) for the day but we went over to my parents house for corned beef and cabbage dinner later on that day. It was soooooo good!! It's one of my favorite meals and I got to enjoy leftovers all week. Mmmmmmm!!

A Quick Dip on a Beautiful Sunday

This past Sunday was a beautiful day! We went to church, grabbed lunch at Fisherman's Market and then went over to Lynne and Larry's to swim. They had a horse show to go to so it was just myself, Chad and Tyler in the pool (which is a good thing as my post-baby body doesn't agree with a bikini in full sunlight for everyone to see) The pool was being heated and although I thought it might be a bit too cold for Tyler, he loved it! His Hurley boardshorts have got to be the cutest thing I've seen on him too!! Just ignore the huge bulky diaper - I forgot his swim diapers that I've been prepared for and had for months...
We just hung out and ended up staying for a BBQ and relaxing the rest of the day.

BittyBabyBlankie Copy...

So I got the urge to be a little crafty and attempt to sew a little blanket for Tyler today. I saw these cute little blankets on a website that I loved but (1) she's not taking any more orders until the 18th and (2) I don't want to pay $20+ for a little 16"x16 blanket...
This is the link to the website and you can see what it's supposed to look like...

It's been 10 years since I've made anything (back in Home Ec my freshman year of HS) but I thought I'd give it a shot. My grandma gave me her sewing machine a couple of years ago so I already had that ready to go. I drove down to Joanns Fabrics and got some super cute soft material and ribbon. Here's the end result:

(I changed the pictures so that 1) you can see he LOVES his
blankie and 2) the other pictures quality wasn't very good...)

Hahahaha! It is totally not square and the ribbons are crooked and all uneven but hey, I don't think Tyler will care too much. He LOVES blankets and this will be another to add to his collection : )

Jumperoooooooo

I bought Tyler a Jumperoo the other day and he absolutely LOVES it! It gives me uninterupted time to get ready in the morning which is a HUGE PLUS! He'll bounce in this thing for a solid 30 minutes, give or take a few. Here are a few pictures of his first day in it.
