Busy week!!

I'm serving as a Shepherd at Summer Spectacular all week at Southwest. My friend Emily and I are actually co-shepherding since Tyler's in the nursery and I figured I'd need to step away at least once to go and nurse. We have a great group of 3rd grade girls (one of which is Lauren, woohoo!) and we're having such a good time so far! It's so fun to just sing and dance with them, get into all of the songs and act like a kid again. I was told by one of the girls today I'm her favorite shepherd she's ever had and another girl wanted to hold my hand everywhere we went. It's so cute!! It makes the whole thing worth it knowing your changing and having an impact in these girl's lives. However I know the enemy is totally trying to stop that from happening... I started feeling a little blah on Sunday and have been taking tons of Zicam since to kick this cold or whatever is trying to creep in. I woke up this morning with a crazy ear ache - I haven't had an ear infection in YEARS! It's actually feeling okay right now though so we'll see how tonight goes. Tyler has a cough and woke up this morning with a runny nose. I didn't want to take him to the nursery and have them tell me he's too sick and can't stay so Chad stayed home with him this morning. Well now I think the runny nose is from teething so he should be able to go tomorrow. And... yes there's more... he's still got his darn ear infection. He's on his third antibiotic (yeah, no fun!) and if this round doesn't work we're being referred to an ENT.
So... cough, teething and ear infection for him... cold trying to get in and an ear infection for me... if it's not the enemy I don't know what it is!!
Anyways... we're fighting through it and we're going to have an awesome rest of the week with these kids!! Tomorrow is cowboy/cowgirl day!! I have no idea what I'm going to wear yet - I need to go and figure it out!

They have a baby acidopholus at Henry's called "baby Jarro" or something like that. It builds up the healthy bacteria in their system that the antibiotic is killing. Once you build up the healthy bacteria again, his body can help itself fight off the infections. Just thought I would let you know. Oh and Brad works tomorrow to make up for having Father's Day off, so we can't come to bunco. Also I am pretty exhausted from this week. THanks for being a shepherd-you are totally making a difference, Good Job!

Sounds like you are having so much fun! I'm kind of regreting not volunteering, but I would have had to take the week off of work and that is kind of hard. I will pray at NOTHING stops you or Tyler from going the rest of the week. Dylan went through a 3 rounder of antibiotics for an ear infection once, and the third one worked! So hopefully it will do the same for Tyler. Take care!
